One Room Challenge Fall 2021 | Week 4 |

It’s officially week four of the One Room Challenge and nothing hasn’t changed within my space yet, I guess I can say that all of my plans are imaginary at this point! Although there hasn’t been any visual changes, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes. A few items have been delivered, some products are en route and some haven’t been ordered yet. But let’s hope that next week will be the week that the REALLLLL work happens, like painting the walls.

So far the custom drapery (from Calico Corners), boucle bench and area rug have all arrived and I’m loving everything so far; but of course we ran into one issue. That issue is that the Loloi Rug I chose turned out to be a different color in person, but it’s beautiful nonetheless. It’s a charcoal, but it was a bit more on the tan side in person. This rug won’t work in the space because the carpet is tan as well, and the rug would simply blend in. They do have this exact rug is a cooler gray color, but it’s out of stock! SEND HEEELPPPPP!

When choosing an area rug to place on top of carpet, I always like to choose a color that’s completely opposite from the carpet to create that stark contrast. The high-contrast moment will visually elevate the look and feel of a carpeted bedroom for sure!

Here’s a sneak peek of the bench and the drapery! I was going to hold off and hang the drapery after I painted, but I couldn’t wait! I’m truly blown away by the luxe look and feel of the drapes. Each drapery panel is 105”L x 23”W in Slubbed Linen with Fan Pleat in the Oyster color. They’re going to frame the window oh so perfectly, I can’t wait to show you updated pictures after I hang all the panels.

I’ve also gotten the Alora Lighting chandelier and Kuzco flushmount fixture ordered and I’m awaiting that delivery. The lighting choices are stunning and will truly bring that hint of glam that I love. -Just a hit of glam to offset all the other masculine presenting parts of the design.

Signing off to go source nightstands and new bedside lamps because the ones I’ve including in my moodboard are on backorder and won’t arrive in time. But, head over to see what the other designers are cooking up for #Week4 of their One Room Challenge.
